 Hola aqui les comparto parte del proceso del proyecto de quinto semestre, un museo de artes y ciencia localizado en el centro de Barranquilla por la intendencia fluvial, el proyecto busca romper las formas tradicionales de arquitectura y explora nuevas volumetrías como los spheroids y  las paraboloides, la inspiración se bas con las máquinas voladoras, los zeppelin creadas al comienzo del siglo, un ámbito en el cual la ciudad de Barranquilla siempre ha sido innovadora.. la movilidad.

el complejo consiste en un teatro al aire libre, un cine domo, y el museo. en el primer piso del museo se encuentran la tienda, una cafetería baños y las salas de exposición temporal, en los pisos intermedios  comienzan las temáticas del museo como la ciencia y el arte caribeños donde va a haber zona de maquetas salas audio visuales y exposiciones permanentes y en los ultimos pisos se encuentran talleres y las zonas administrativas del conjunto.

aqui se nota que hubo dos tendencias las cuales se van a desarollar, una rectelinea y la otra curva.. este entrada es donde se desarolla la forma del esferoide aunque no llega al mismo nivel de detalle del otro, pero ahora estoy más comodo con mis conocimientos y cuando uno comienzo un proyecto tiene que estar seguro que lo puede terminar.. hoy el día estoy más seguro con mis habilidades para desarollar las formas más complejas y por eso  voy a mostrar el esferoide como el resultado final y no al WV..

I remember sitting with him in the open air cafe during his final years. It was one of our last talks before he died. As always i needed help with my struggling bachelors degree career. For me it was work, for him it was fun and imagination. He asked me if I had a girlfriend, I told him no. He asked about my family, I told him they were fine and avoided further curiosities. 

 

"Just love her" that was his final advice. (if i could give myself that advice now it would go like: don't choose her, allow her to come) Then he spoke to me about a fragmented elipse which he broke to me with his hands, and ramp. The ramp plays within the terrain and rises into the building. I didn't have the visual powers to construct the idea but I had the memory of his words. Years later as I'm web surfing i came across the niteroi museum and I found the ramp he was talking about. 

 

It swims within the complex and ascends into the structure. It had an upper floor and a sci fi feel to it. I still don't know if thats who i am as abuilder. I don't know if I am a builder but I remember his words so vividly.

Then came this..

I remember showing him the plans while we were having a meal at burger king.. He payed for it and i politely agreed. I still don't know if i should be eating big franchise restraunts given the situation of my country but I'm a bit shy, and sometimes I don't say what i truly feel. Its un-attractive I know, probably why i never get a girlfriend.

Anyways after sharing those rigid plans he came  up with the idea of mirroring the floors on top of one another. I didn't have the visual means to come through with his idea but, I agreed with him that it was a good plan. Somehow.. I passed anyways, I don't know how, I don't know why. This was one of the most important semesters of your career and i passed it by the skin of my toes (whatever that teeths)..  I still think the ramp is missing..

 

Id like to think of this semester as a final breakaway from the tower and an honest move twords the investigation, like a detective we ask questions and seek the right answers, like a zepplin we breakway from our prison in the tower.
